OCR/QR

This practice consists on read text and QR code (Quick Response code) in Vision Builder.

For this practice, we need:
-1 Computer with Vision Builder installed
-1 Webcam
-1 Paper with a QR and text on it

The first thing that we have to do is to go to Read/Verify Text and click there.

Once there, go to Mode and we create a Character Set File and we click on Edit Character File.

There, we teach the program all the letters that we will read.

We also have to adjust the Threshold, to identify darker or brighter elements:

Then, we create a ROI and we pass the Webcam over the letters that we want to read and we print them on the screen with a Custom Overlay. The process is very simple, but it takes many time to teach the program all the letters.

The other part of the program is even more simple. The process is the same, but we have to choose Read 2D Barcode. Then, we pass the webcam over it and we read it.
